Yes Nenkai--the gospels speak loudly about Christians obligation to widows,
children and the poor. Above al, if we have NOT love one to another, says our Lord, He knows us not! shalom

Dining away unduly so there are some dollars raised for the hungry?
I am a little confused whether dining away unduly so there are some dollars raised for the hungry is a paradox in terms?

Re: nenkai
I do not wonder why the rich do not share what they have. They can not. Being rich is often a curse with it comes a condition of selfishness and the self centered actions in America which we demand that lead to wealth are not furtile grounds for teaching man to share at all. To give first to others, before you take what you have been given is not a lesson that is rewarded with much more than dignity and this is not something valued very much in the United States as far as I can tell. The world sits in wait to teach us how to accept them as we shove our boots up their ass, and still they pour out blessings to us.
I am not confused why the rich do not share, it is not the Americian way, and many people are just trying to survive this American day. The rise from a bed 5 days a week to go to the grind and work away like a slave. What is given to them is kept like a treasure and that is because so much was taken in the process of that labor. We run our people down into the ground, building in them anger, and forget to feed them with hope. We forget that many other people in other cultures value much more than the grind that we endure. We would be wise to accept and grow, and learn from each other as a world. But this would require a overhaul of many systems that are in place now in the US. We have been stubborn to change what is broken because we will have to deny that we have been silent for so long going to the grind everyday ignoring that stuff that makes human beings human and ignoring the rhetoric that makes the machine of America sound like an engine that needs overhauling.
We are the government, the government is us. We are one in the same, not seperate entities. We owe it always to each other and to our children to discuss those things that are broken, and begin to fix them and stop the chase of the allmighty dollar bill, because in the end none of that matters if you can not look ourself in the eyes and say what we believe and believe who we have become as people or individuals.
We are the government, the government is us, we the people can change, and that means there is much hope and promise that America will be a world leader forever. If we stay teachable and stop putting our boot up the ass of humanity and show that we can listen and learn and grow and change. The old must go out, and the new must take hold if we are to be the vision of freedom for the world to see.
Otherwise, get ready to have everything you think is yours taken away, because unless the poor begin to fight back with some dignity the rich will never acknowledge that they must quit. This is going to hurt like pulling a band aid off a wound (at first) but the end result will be so lovely that it is well worth doing.©
And thank you very much for the compliment by the way.
Best regards,
Tammie Anderson

Some wonder why the rich do not share more of what they have.
It is because they did not share what they had when they were poor.
Some never have what they think is enough to allow them to share.
Some who wonder why the rich do not share more, do not share at all.
Blessed are those who take what little they have and give something first to the poor before they spend the rest on themselves.
