the darkest night
the darkest night
a response and poem by Tammie Anderson
the darkest night is upon the faces
Speaking not hearing all
the dark dark oil blends and the vision of the image
of freedoms pass and we drive to pick up
Children, never missing a beat or asking what went down
The darkest night has come upon us
yet, so many will not wake up we are at
this turning point at the darkest night
is never going to end, in the day the light
will come and the children will remember that dark
color that oil brought to our lives and ask us
to repay them for everything we took from them
lost in admiration and respect for their human rights
we move away from the darkness
closer to the light
but this has been the darkest day
and night that history can recount
and soon the light of day will shed our skins
and there will be reason for us to smile again, the darkest
night is nearing an end I can not wait to wake in the light.©

NAJWA-again this is so very lovely--sad it's true-but beautifully written!
One line reads-"is there anyone who can hear-what the night says?" I believe the night reflects back to us-all that our lives have encompassed! God bless you.Chris.

NAJWA, this is lovely....
we all dream of love and hope for heaven praying God will hear and bless us keeping us secure in his silent plans. Sometimes we can't have what we want, and need patience. Love your poems....thank you
