Good to see you here again, Avant-garde--
though lately I have been away either on the road or turned more inward than out, so i didn't see you until just now.
Loving your pictures--old home for me, the east, and I miss jewelweed, for one, and fireflies, and drives down the Blue Ridge... One of these days, though, I'll point the truck in that direction and just keep going.

I find these leaves familiar, but we do not know these as slippery elms.
We've got another name for it which I can't recall. What's its biological name, I wonder?

I believe slippery elm is a component of several natural meds
used to regulate digestion. And they're pretty, too.

Hi Avant...Great shot.....I take Slippery Elm. Wow, I sure hope you are
planning on harvesting all these wonderful medicinal plants. I am in the process of drying our Mullein.
