Yeah......Like you women...
Are just open books....ready to be read.....

Carl wanted to be with you in a familiar situation or setting....... "how it used to be"......he misses that.

men are big pains in the backside!
they never know what they want and just when we think we know exactley what we want ourselves...they spoil it by dragging us back to square one.
I think more than anything it is hard to break up...the emotional tie seems to stick around....you still need each other, even though none of you will admit it.
I have always wondered...can you really stay good friends with your ex...without things getting complicated......hmmm

bel,
I'm sure this is way over simplified, but sounds to me like he just misses you. Men are weird/Marsy, but this one thing I think I've figured out. When they miss us, they completely forget that they've (or we've) been total jerks or assess or neanderthals or brats, or idiots, even if it's only been a few minutes ago.
They seem to be wired in such a way that they feel like once they're over it (whatever it happens to be), we're supposed to be over it, too, because all they want to do is be with us, even if it's just to share space or a conversation about nothing. Makes absolutely no sense, but I think that's it.

Bel, Hi I'm back. I must apologize for not checking in sooner. I forgot
bel-1965 was your new blogger name. I was trying to...well never mind. Every guy, man, dude, male is like a box of assorted chocolate (Uh, Sorry, Forest) Take it for what it's worth. I don't want this reply to center around me..so I'll try to keep it brief and at the same time concentrate on your post. I went through a long drawn out separation between me and the ex. Every time I thought "Good, it's over, now I can get on with life" things would happen the ex would re-enter and once more..It's been ten years almost we drew the line in the sand so to speak. If I had the answer I would give it to you in a heartbeat. I know we (men)are complicated creatures at times. The only thing I am sure about is sometimes a person (any person) can feel if their presence is still felt in a relationship, then perhaps there's a chance, (however slim it may be,) of making what once was, again.
On a different note, thank you for keeping the light on for me in your favorites column. Peace, Bel.........I.R. William

Bel... case and point
Afzal is a man and his only input is his usual thing that he says in every post he visits... Good post? WTF if you're a guy and visiting at least help us get a clue what men are thinking lol. Anyways, maybe he misses you and just wanted that feeling of family he used to have when you two were together. Just go on about your business and don't drive yourself nuts worrying about the space between his manly ears.
