- Go to Mind Control--How does he do that??!!!
I haven't seen the show
but I find these things amazing - especially hypnoses and nlp.
The mind has unlimited power (no pun intended), and we all should realize this or else we will be easily manipulated by those who use it for less nobel purposes!

Jacenta, I agree, it is alarming to watch him do what he does, and to
realize how vulnerable we all are to being so manipulated. It is alarming, perhaps upsetting is good word for it, like watching someone fire-walk: the impossible is not supposed to be possible!
But I think he is doing a good thing here, awakening us to our vulnerability so we can do something about at least some of it. Like paying more attention, being more conscious of everyday events. Being mindful.

Black magic is such a generic term-- In fact, he is using a number of tools
that are neither magical nor supernatural, including sleight-of-hand and misdirection, and neuro-linguistics, which is simply about how the human brain processes and can be manipulated.
He also connects with the human energy system, seeing it and manipulating it.
Nothing religious about it.
'Magic' is just technology that is not yet understood.
'Black magic' is a term for technology not understood, but judged as evil, a philosophical opinion.
That is what it means to me, anyway-- I don't know what it means to you.

Hypnosis...
I've seen a lot of show like that. They mostly use black magic power to do whatever they do on the show. Not a good thing!

Sounds like a clever fellah. But I wouldn't want to play cards with him.

I haven't seen the show, Ciel, but it is totally beleivable. That's how
con artists have always worked. They are walking behavioral psychologists, quick-study geniuses who have learned how to manipulate their environment to their benefit, especially the people in that environment.
