I think it's neat you still have those drapes..I am a lover of them and have blinds behind. Drapes give the house warm and personality...Your drapes have more then that!!

For the very reasons you have described I abandoned “drapery” in my 30’s and opted for blinds. No blood involved.

Plastic hooks are better. Then you only have to worry about sharp-toothed pets.

well we rent this place and I would love to replace the drapes in the living room, but then that might be a waster of money and time, but glad you got them up and going again

I do have one set of drapes that use the sharp hooks........
