Ongoing tragedies...Good post, Saul..
Due to the arrogant and greedy post planning-not by this administration, nearly a third of all Iraqi's are displaced, homeless, jobless, hungry, no medical care..a humanitarian crisis labeled "made in the U.S.A." and one that will be long remembered and used by the extremists. Thanks for the post, Saul.

There is no hangover, Glennb, simply a continuation of bad foreign policy
choices begun by one excruciatingly assinine decision -- to invade Iraq. I do agree that this began as a "crusade" by that religious nutcase in the Oval Office (and his arrogant advisors). The only thing delusional I see are those ideologue morons who still beleive that Bush is doing a good job as president and still believe the propaganistic b.s. that we're fighting this war to preserve our country...

Saul Relative,
It really pangs me to see and hear all you good "white" folk fleeing the truth or reality! After September 11, 2001, America needed a quick pick-me-up. And ole W provided it with his "Crusade" against the Muslim world, Arabs, the Brown Race. "Mission Accomplished"? Will the hang-over be worth the bad "acid" trip you people are on?

News is relative to the source, Decshak. And none are perfect.
Still, I'll take CNN over most of them.

If they weighed that heavy, TAPS, the sonofabitch would've never
invaded Iraq in the first place on flimsy ideology-driven and tell-me-what-I-want-to-hear intelligence.

I don't know. CNN couldn't even get the Minnesota bridge death toll right.

I'm sure those numbers must lie heavy upon our president. How could they not?

Absolutely, Wiley. They prioritize the ridiculous and relegate the
important to insignificance. That's what you get when you elect an authoritarian religious dimwit to a position of power. It's also what you get when you place a bunch of self-serving buffoons (we'll call the Congress, for want of a better collective term) to office as well.

So many U.S. lives lost when you include 9/11 as well, and infrastructure collapsing at home while we all contribute to rebuilding in Iraq and Afghanistan, you've had that terrible bridge collapse now and we've had a bridge collapse here as well that took lives while we rebuild in Afghanistan. It's just not right.......................

Everything about this president has been photo op with little or no
substance, Sophomoric. Bush once addressed why he didn't attend any fallen serviceperson's funeral by saying he did not with to show any semblance of favoritism. I've got another theory: Maybe it's because he doesn't want to show any semblance of guilt?

Unforgivable
Of all the things President Bush has done (or not done) the one thing I can't excuse him for is that he has not attended a single military funeral or memorial service for any of the fallen servicemen & women. He doesn't have to attend them all; he doesn't even need to actually attend a funeral. He could hold a memorial service for one and dedicate it to them all. Inexcusable!!!
BTW, he did find the time to attend some of the Virginia Tech funerals. I guess that was a more politically potent photo op.
