Hi Irish,
In your last stanza you have live when it should be life. Other than I didn't see anything wrong, and it really is a wonderful piece. I never was Daddy's little girl or Dad's little man either, but I did respect Dad even with all the whippings that he gave me. I knew that I deserved them and probably more.
Dad has been gone since 1971; 12 days after I got married he died. Yesterday was his birthday. If he was still living he would have been 111 years old yesterday.

i 'm crying right now-- and will be calling my daddy tonight-- he won't be
in from farming until dark thirty. Thank you for that-- it was a treasure as are all Daddy's little girls everywhere are!!!!!!!
