I'm part Chippewa on my mother's side.
I never met my half-Chippewa grandfather on her side.  Evidently he was a classic case of the dead beat drunken Indian, excuse me Native American.  The deer have been plentiful in my part of North Carolina in recent years.  I haven't hunted since I was considerably younger, but my son still goes bow hunting.

my pappaw would take each granddaughter-- not grandson
and place us on his lap or knee and then he would prop open the window and lay his rifle along side-- at the little house at the family farm-- that is how we all thught hunting was done-- from the safety of one's home.
