Havard girl.
Thanks for your understanding and comment. THey already 'got' me for 32 years. I have gone through all the tortures they inflict from sleep deprivation to no food to near death. I still insist on being me! I do understand what you are saying but my fight is not physical. Thanks for the counsel. I am still researching products. Presently I am looking at STRII. SB

Thank you for your kind comments. The Eternal Song( Bhagavad Gita) takes a lot of trying to understand. The face value of the words are often the translators understanding! Pondering gives you the insight to get true meanings. I often include the meanings I find there in words that are far different from any translation. I hope, in some way, that I nourish your understanding! SB

and Evil gets even when you try
It seems evident to me, at least that there is a good and a evil. But the evil I have noted is not the evil I had expected. There is a evil in the world based in ignorance and it seems content to take hostage the minds of those who can not fight back. It also seems evident to me that this is quite unfair indeed, and that when it is observed, it must not be tolerated. There is a ignorance about many things in the United States, and we are presently living in chaos and fear. I have no idea why it must be so entertaining to abuse people of a lower social and ecconomic class, but it seems evident that it has become a form of entertainiment. This is a special sort of "evil" not always called "evil" and when it is, those who would dare to call it such would be also accused of being mental misfits.
This is a dangerous time to be a foward thinker, those who dare to leave the small box, are often crushed, then smashed many times over.
Better to focus on those things which we can change, and take in the good that is bioavailable.

"Put away your sword"
Christ did say that to Peter, when Peter was attempting to stop events that would lead to Christ's death. However, he also said "I have come not to bring peace, but a sword." He too advocated fighting evil. By the way, the Bhagavad Gita is possibly one of the most beautiful things ever written. I love when Krishna says to Arjuna "It is I looking back at you from behind the eyes of all living beings." (or something like that - translations differ). Keep it up - you have a very interesting blog!

It is not my prerogative to forgive! If you step on my toes that's alright, I say. If you sin, that is your requested future!

I have been finding that
by winning the war within I have been experiencing peace in my outer experiencing.
However it took me until 50 to be able to even 'get' that concept

When they attack you, what do you do? They operate in the gray areas of the law or where there is no legislation. Spiritual law is the only recourse then!

I guess if the stance is RIGHTEOUS you can retain your CENTER without being consumed by fighting! I do it on a need-to basis and I never initiate attack, unless I have to.

YOU are my Teacher and the GOLD PEN
this is the true me
I wrote this Gift
For you,,,,,,,,,,Stranger
I lived all the years looking for your pen
At my old roots I had read about their Sin
And they told me Love man is the Shame
But my love to him was living in his songs
I loved his warm voice in the Melodies among
Among the Desert and the green Hills
my teen love lived in my soul real thrill
He and me we had never kiss or touch
We were Fresh Virgins Shy very much
And that picture lived into my tears
True love feeds my Soul over the Years
your friend the Stranger

Dave....passionate thoughts here....interesting read....
It is true we give power to evil and we can take it away by simply choosing to be true to our selves and our lives. I do believe in the absolute power in words.... and we do have free will to shut out evil always....thanks for the wonderful thoughts here well done.

I think there is a time and place and a way of fighting evil that makes
good people triumph over evil. Even Jesus didnt turn the other cheek when the business people were desecrating the synagogue. Sometimes fighting evil also lowers us to the level of evil people because we become possessed by darkness, hatred and anger, negative feelings which are the opposite of love ,which is what God created us for. Not forgving makes us carry unnecessary burdens which can weigh us down and break our spirits. I believe good must fight to overcome evil but the way we do it must be positive and life-affirming.

Re: Another intense and interesting post, Dave..you write well
Forgiving is to be done among 'brethren'...similar in principles and united under the tutelage of God. Evil conveniently scripts its moves to escape punishment. Let them go to God for forgiveness. Or, they can commit crimes and keep 'washing their hands'!

I don't think I've absorbed all of this quite yet..I will say I do believe in forgiving others, to a strong degree and in the works of Jesus. I will read again tomorrow when I'm not so sleepy...:)
