Sounds like you will have some interesting things to talk about.
Now, is the part about Ramadan sarcastic or do you really look forward to it? I don't recall my friends in grad school being particularly for or against... Now, I personally would never survive the ordeal.... 
I could ask someone around here, but I don't know them well enough to just ask out of the blue.

Good to see you writing again. Along with telling us more about your Poland trip, could you give us an idea of how you celebrate the fast of Ramadan time. I know nothing much about that.
