I left already. The night after this happened, I was out of there. We are waiting for the waiting period before a judge will give us a divorce.

Wow! That is insane. At least in my case no one threatened to kill me, although, there was that time that he pointed a small bb gun at me... Yes, it was extremely draining.

Yes, it was quite terrifying. I really thought he might die. A friend of his had died of a xanax overdose a few months ago.

I was once a witness to a near suicide (or professed) attempt, where a
guy had a gun and told me (who was trying to talk a little sense to him) that if I didn't leave him alone, he would shoot me too. I left him alone...
He did not shoot himself, but he was awarded a night in the local gaol for his "attempt"...
I am sorry that you had to experience something like this, Le divorce. It can be emotionally draining...
