I come humbly, with head hung low...to apologize.
I did not read this entry before I read the others & commented. I knew of your trials but not detailed as this. Thank you for sharing this. You are a wonderful writer and although having learned through the school of hard knocks....and other traditional schools as well, I certainly did not mean to imply you were not book read. I meant as a compliment, you write as if you lived as opposed to learning traditions in books. I hope I have made myself more clear. ~ Blessings ~

I agree with a lot you say.....
organized, structured worship with its accompanying political layers are not what Jesus had in mind......you can just as easily worship from within...........

Thank you for your  very accurate observations. Some are critical of holy books and religion simply to make god go away. But he does not go away Without the books he is still there, but you need the Tips in the books...which tips to take and which to leave!

God is there for everyone, even babies who don't know what faith and belief means. You can experience God without words coming in the way! Which is I believe, what babies and little children do. Indoctrination and satan's influence changes everything. It causes the majority to turn away! Thanks!

Proc
You are correct Proc. Religion helped me see what it is all about. But built into religion is its own survival and some 'dumbing down' aspects to help that goal. Somebody must have slipped it in there. Tony Bushby has some interesting books on these. He used the Vatican's library to trace things all the way back!

I feel it's there in good or bad times. There is the tendency to look away in good times and that is how people get lost. There were times when I was doing good and living the same way I always did! Thanks for the visit and the comments!

god is god.... religion is man's manifestation of their belief system.... God is in our lives no matter where we are, no matter what we read or where we read.... he is here...if we open our eyes to see... :) as you so well put!! blessings

Soul
He/she is watching over us at all times....  we dont' have to even ask for help.   It simply comes when we need it the most.

I completely agree with your view, that biblical interpretation is not the only way to experience God!

I experience God every day in big and small miracles in my life. Im glad
for the role religious teaching has played in bringing me to a full understanding of God.  Its interesting to read differing views on God.  I thing God is too big to be contained in one belief.
