Dear friend,
I agree we all express our art in a diferent manner, yet as artist we are drawn to this place to be as one and join in our singleness of purpose as we become better writers. Here is what your poem inspired in me:
Responding to a Straightforward verse
by Tammie Anderson
I am me,
no other
can express me better
no other person will ever be this
person in my gut
telling you who is this person
that is breathing
the air
that is in this space
that I fill
that they call this space
this is me
mine
my space my expression and there is never going
to be
another time or place to do it better
or be
better at being the person
that tells you
who that person is
and the more I tell you
the better I get
at my craft
of telling you
about the person that is living in this space
and the fight I fight to keep this space
this single seperate space
of time
traveled
a journey
recored
that
is left behind for others
to remember
who took us this shell
that is taking in the air that is filling my lungs
and reaching my blood
granting me the pleasure
of telling you
more and more
and more each day that I shall be
just and only me
nothing more
just me
nothing pretended
nothing fake
just me
alone
as I came
shall
I leave
me.©

straightforward
we often express ourselves as a reaction to an incident. Our expression sometimes may be hurting and we are unaware of it. Thus, it is advisable to think before we express ourselves, lest we make a fool of ourselves. Take care.

All too often it is easy to get so caught up in one's own situation that one forgets to consider the fact that everyone is different and has a right to their own feelings and opinions. Well expressed/written.
