Teachers are special people. Thank goodness for all the good ones. And Lord forgive those who aren't. I am sure you know so many wonderful success stories. I know my teachers made me the person I am today. I give them thanks. Take care and it is good to hear from you.

Hi shelly
I think that kind of fear is scary because we are prisoners and can not run and hide as we can in other scary situations. Good to hear from you.

HiOffy
I just talked with niece, and she was negative about the first day. I didn't have the opportunity to really discuss it with her. I just hugged her and pecked a kiss on her cheek. She is an individualist and I suspect she is going to learn to bend a little.
Remembering HS is sort of like remembering special events, like a prom or a play, and fortunately we probably forget the miserable grade we made on some test. That would be abusive to remember, right? lol

Hi saul relative
Star Wars was terrificly big. Fans still consider it a once in a lifetime experience. We saw it first!

What a switch. I even thought HS was more restrictive. More people were watching.
But we made it

Hi Living Life Large.
That is a shocker. When exactally do you think we grow up? It happens so very fast for us parents.

No, but I remember . . .
. . . the first time I walked into the high school as a parent and realized that I was no longer a child!

I was terrified...
My first 8 grades were in a one-room schoolhouse, now I had to deal with 8 rooms and a gymnasium.

Can't remember a lot about my first day of high school except everybody
was talking about 'Star Wars'. Back then it was cool. Now, you're a nerd... Times do change...

Thanks for your comment, life is full of complete circles. I guess we still see them even as we grow older.

Hi Taps
I love seeing these young ones grow up and only a little sad I can't join in on some of their fun. It would be nice to start all over again (on some days anyway, lol) Thanks for stopping by.

Hope your niece does well. I remember my day well. Then saw it from the other side as a teacher.
