Cinnamon buns are one of
my favorite things. Especially with cream cheese icing. I think they have a gazillion calories, but fortunately(or unfortunately), I haven't found a place near me that makes them very well. Take care Whacky and Bo

That's whacked out!! The Albertsons that was within walking distance of my house closed a few years ago, it is now a church. Luckily, there is a new and improved Albertsons within a mile of my house

NW still has Blakes though!!! Right???? I remember
going to visit my grandparents and going to Blakes YEARS ago. My Aunt and Uncle who still live there-- refuse to shop at Wal Mart because they put mom and pop stores out of business and instead they shop at Albertsons--

that pumpkin cake was the best just like I will never enjoy a homemade cake with finding toothpicks in a piece!!!!

Did she ever make salt-rising bread? I sure wish I could find some of that somewhere.

There's a charming little bakery ("Pattisserie", as this one would be called) only a few blocks from my home. Oh... the yummy things in their glass cabinets! Thier chocolate, hazelnut tart was my weakness. Unfortunately I moved - they ddn't and I'm now over an hour away so I don't indulge in those tarts too often anymore.

special little stores like this are becoming things of the past
unfortunately...that cake proves that you CAN have your cake and eat it TOO..
....hopefully that baker will still be allowed to "create."
