Re: I know it's painful but writing can be a release
I totally agree... I wrote a lot about it when it was happening, but a real 'breakthrough' was when it was one year since she'd died and I got some of the things I'd kept of hers and took a photo of them all and then wrote the poem. It felt very healing somehow. I still sleep with the shredded pink and purple blanket that I made for myself as a shawl and of course she took one look at it and it was hers! I'm very glad I have it - it turns up in a lot of my poems!

Re: Oh, I'm sorry you lost your cat. I know you must miss him.
Thank you :) I was very attached to her for 16 years - and because for the last couple of years of her life, I was unable to work because of depression, we were together nearly 24/7. It's over 2 years ago now, but I still (sometimes) cry myself to sleep because of the *yearning* to feel her jump on the bed and curl up next to me.
Thanks for the welcome :) And it was a pleasure stopping by to see you!

Re:
Yeah.. it can be so awful.. and not everyone understands why it matters to you so much and that makes it worse.

Re: Hi ophelia
Hi :) I don't really get lonely.. at least not for other people anyway... but it was just me and her here for the last 10 years of her life and that makes me miss her so much. Not lonely as such, more that I want her back.. and that is so futile.

Re: Sweet and sad.
Thank you :) It was good to get to the point of being able to write something that had the good memories (or some of them!) in it.
Hello to Bo =^..^= the wonder dog! I don't think we've met yet. Very nice to meet you *shakes paw*
