Tony, wise words.
I'm convinced that half the trouble in the world today is because we've lost that basic unity Bhaskar is talking about. Too much happening too fast. Even TV commercials are exhausting (bah, humbug..)

I fully agree with you Tony about a boundaryless world.
It will make the world bigger and not bitter, place to live for human homogeneity to find expression. The sky is so, so should be the earth. Well said, Tony.

Tony -
It will come some day - though probably not in our lifetime. But it will come.

That's OK Cringe, better any comment than nowt.
Naive, though, is the wrong word. Idealistic yes, perhaps. But like I said, if people agree with the aim, then all it takes is the will and the organisation to raise consciousness. no more than that. i'm not trying to start a movement here. Well, not HERE, there are too few readers! But the ideas have to begin somewhere,, and then they spread and become accepted or disappear. It's less far-fetched than Scientology anyway, and look how many followers that has!!

Ooops, that was 'actual' and I didn't mean to sound so bitter!

Call me a cynic, people listen, get energetic and nod their heads in
agreement. When it comes to the actually 'doing' what happens is you're standing there like Jerry Maguire with his memo and maybe one person as tragically naive as you will belatedly back you up.
I'm not being evil, because I had to leave a job a few years back when I tried to make things better, and start a union in a non unionized dept of the company. They had me at 'goodbye'.

Thanks for those comments guys.
It is of course idealistic but if most people agree with the sentiments then it's worth at least saying it, I think. The world is run by people and if people wake up to the way countries give power to petty jealousises, rivalries, give platforms to tinpot dictators often in democratic clothing, etec etc, then people CAN do something about it. The French Revolution happened. The sixties happened. We need to take it to the next level...

It is good to dream, and hope, and work towards a goal of "for the common good of all". If everyone was of the attitude of "what will be, will be", we would go downhill even faster than we are now.

They may say I'm a dreamer...
but I'm not the only one
Somehow this sonnet reminded me of John Lennon's "Imagine".
