Mneme, maybe you could paint a wall and watch it dry. I'm gonna have to dip out of Blogit now and be strict with myself - loads of prep to do ready for workshops in St Helens on Monday & Tuesday.

Hi Dave!
I have a quiet evening, I'm glad to say. East Enders with mean old Sarah, followed by Casualty. Sad but true:)

You seem to me to be one of those I'd class as still being young at heart. Thanks for reading.

Yes, I remember that from Muser's post - I'm glad you liked it. It was the age and year that I met my husband too. A lot of water under the bridge, and a lot of water (and land) between then and now. Not trying to depress you of course; just reflecting on how quickly the years went.

In my lighter moments I'm still that age.. but, with some sense of awe, I've recently realised that my next birthday puts me into the 'seniors' age group.

Thank you; it was a lovely age to be. My daughter left the country when she was only twenty, and has had a completely different life from mine. As she should, of course.

and again, thank you for the reminder that we are a lot better off than these poor third-world AIDS victims. Something to think about.

What a beautiful story told so well. What a shame that because of distance you can't relive this vignette with your daughter.... maybe someday soon.
