Whacky
I think the flowers have their own alarm clocks, Whacky. I saw a hummingbird check her wristwatch a few days ago and then if fluttered down in front of us and I could swear it said 'See you next year, Bye.'

Whacky
Once when my boys were little one of them got a very bad ear infection. I took him to the doctor who said there was something in his ear. He dug it out and showed it to me. He was puzzled, thought it looked like a tiny black hand grenade. I burst out laughing. It was a four-oclock seed. Son had been hiding behind the four-oclock bushes in their game of hide and seek.

I don't know whacky ...
but I think they can be influenced. I got a poinsettia last year that never turned red at Christmas time ... later on in March it was beautiful. I wonder why???

Hi, Whacky! I planted Morning Glories this year from seed and they are now all the way up and trellis and along the deck. I love them.

I love how my flowers or even my in door plants speak to me.... I'm certain I even hear them say thanks after I water them and like you, I most definitely hear them screaming when they're in need of some. It's kind of a quiet shrill.

I think flowers can tell time and seasons much better than we can. No,
the farmer says (my neighbor), nothing is the same time and is progressively moving forward. We just had a burst of summer here for a few weeks now today looks like the first signs of fall.

I'm so confused......but I believe the flowers know!

four o'clocks...
Mine never bloom at four o'clock either! They should call them eight-ten's. or nooners. anything but four o'clocks.

Our garden just looks incredibly lush and green due to all the rain this year - which may well be due to global warming too. Still now the September sun is here it's a bonus all round.

I have no idea when mine should bloom. Or even what they are. I'd like some border plants that will give off a beautiful aroma in the afternoon and evening. Any ideas?

All ours seem to be blooming on time...
Of course, we don't have any four o'clocks so I can't tell about them. The weeds seem to be blooming too danged good.
