Hey, nothing wrong with a soapbox.
My sister-in-law from Austin has a T-shirt that says, "its a Texas thing, y'all wouldn't understand." You know, I think you could substitute any state and it works, well, exept for the "y'all" north of the Mason-Dixon line.

I am prone to occasional (ha!) rants....have been accused of carrying a soapbox in my designer bag! And I am now 2 martinis past the one that spawned this! Yes, I'm from Texas....was gone for a long, long time....but have retired back here, as I always knew I would. Thanks for being so gracious in your comment....I have no doubt that your sensibilities would leave you appalled by the flapping.

But I fully understand your point! I am often appalled by the simple-minded, no, actually
stupid anti-Americanism displayed by many people, among them fellow Canadians...
