I experienced those feelings/emotions that border in just plain nihilism.
I have even come to a point in which I'm afraid to experience them again.

This happens to me too. I don't accept it as mine. My view is that soul is complete and lesser feelings emanate from elsewhere. If I don't decide to feel so, then it isn't mine. And, this works for me as I preserve my own sanity!
