THis aspect of life has interested me as well. Physical time travel may be impossible, despite the stories I read and the movies I've seen. Using speed to gain a day or lose a day as we cross the International date line, is to stifle in concepts we created. There is precognition. I don't know people can see other peoples future lives, but it is done. Free will operates within material constraints. There are those who see beyond free will and constraints. How they do it.... I don't know!

Re: North
In an earlier blog, I told about a comic that said, "I've got a working time machine in my basement. It still needs a little work. Right now, it only goes forward, at regular speed." Ha! Ha!  Guy

Most of science fiction consists of a lot of fiction and little science. Science is by no means clear on wether time travel is possible even in principle.

Of course, there is a limited form of 'time travel' into the future that can be done easily and, in fact, occurs. If you zip out into space at high velocities, the higher the better, and return, you will have aged by whatever time it took you to make that trip according to your clock on board the space ship. But more time will have elapsed here on Earth - how much, will depend on the velocity of your ship. (I'm, not going to bother with the formula here.) As a result, you are traveling 'into the furure'. And if you traveled fast enough, e.g at 1/2c, and long enough, you could return to a future you would otherwise never see...

All this is simply a 'given', based on Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, which is not just a 'theory', but fact...

Troosha,

You are right, of course. The subject is inexhaustable. Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Thought is really what this is all about. I'm glad to hear from you and I'll check out your writing, too. Thanks again,   Guy

There have been a number of television shows over the year where time travel was the theme (there’s a new one out not though I don’t recall the name). Make for good TV viewing but they defy logic and often travel into the future as well. If I could time travel I think I like to go check out the 1800’s – something within me says I was there before. Ummmm….
