Fred Thompson Called Deputy Dawg Refuses to Dignify Smear With A Response
Kingmi: Why don't we concentrate on getting al-Qaeda from Afghanistan and Pakistan? Why can't we find Osama?

Hillary's going to be formidable, but maybe, if the Democrats start
assessing their priorities instead of hedging for a win, they can put together a winning ticket. I really think the next Democratic president hype is a bit premature and ill-advised. The election is a year away. Much can happen. And putting all your eggs in the Hillary basket, if you are the Democratic Party, isn't such a great idea.
I like Thompson. He's a bit abrasive, but he's sincere. I do not like Giuliani. He's got more faces than Jesus.
But Iran, kingmi, is not the source of terrorists. It's one of them. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are your leading terrorist entities. They're predominantly Sunni as well, which seems to be the dominant extremist religion (al Qaeda is Sunni, primarily). The Shias (Iran is predominantly Shia) are interested in resurrecting the caliphate and are more nationalistic. Iran, Syria, and al Qaeda (and a few other players) are responsible for all the different terrorists in Iraq, including some homegrown Iraqi nationalists that are nonaffiliated. Regardless of who they are and who sponsors them, they all point their guns at Americans.
Still, Iran needs to be stopped. Economic sanctions are not working. Too many backdoor maneuverings among the Chinese and Russians and a few Europeans. I still say we let Israel take care of it initially, then provide a supporting role...
