In the meantime, go for the temporary job first and do it well. Try your best to impress the management.. who knows you luck might be good. Take care.

Sounds familiar to all of us doesn't it? In the beginning, its all for the few bucks so that we can get by. But then, count your blessings, there are so many others who are far worse off. I used to see it that way and it makes me feel better.
