Thanks everyone - sorry the meaning was a bit veiled.
But hopefully you can just see it as a picture of the fermenting of revolutionary feeling in some oppressed place, not necessarily where you live. i pictured it as Eastern Europe, say, Czechoslovakia or somewhere like that in the 60s around the time of Dubcek. Or earlier, say Russia around the time of Lenin. OK, the revolution didn;t turn out well, but that's beside the point!! The people had high hopes of freedom from oppression. And in the Czech example they were hoping for freedom from Communism. So it really doesn't matter what the system is, it's the oppression that counts and the people's hopes for release...

Thick-headed me, too. Failed to see what you are trying to tell us. Why can't poets speak clearly instead of in vieled speech!

Antonio,
Do not look for me
in the wild weeds
or in the frothy glen
but at break of day
I'll wheel away
and be gone.

Antonio, sorry I missed you, but there's some birds flying
over in my blog. You've inspired me. I'm not feeling very articulate right now, so i'll just say I was here.

Well, I think Blogit made a very bad decision.
I'm glad to see that everyone here has done so much to support our friend! I have one thing to say---I hope that everyone here that plans on remaining a Blogit member remembers the atmosphere of fun that Dave created whenever he was present, and always try to do the same.
Ok, I have two things to say: ACK.
