Re: zena77
Well, you see, that happens almost monthly here on Venezuela or every time an opposition rally is done.

Matie, there was a big one in 1990. I wasn't in the heart of it, but
working nearby, the smell of teargas lingers in the air, burning your lungs. It's scary to see soldiers with guns on your streets, when you think it'll never happen here. But it does.

Re: zena77
Yes, I heard of a few cases there, then. That's mostly the spirit of student's protests.

That happens here, too, Matie, we have feisty students
They've got grit, you've got to admire them, and that pure fire of beiing sure they're right. No grey areas.

Re: zena77
Sure, they're tired of being mishandled and dispersed by the police and the military every time they do a rally, so fights ensue.

Matie, I'm speechless
I watched the first clip to the end, and I'm amazed at the students' tenacity. I wonder if I would be that brave or resolute under the circumstances.
I didn't know things were like that in Venezuela. Yep, I think control of the internet is an issue and at stake.

Re: oddy
Yeah, I think Internet and free speech will be the last thing they control, because they need the resources to control 26 million people.

Sure, I respect your view. I personally think that some people of the opposition and the local media are to blame for some stuff.

Hmmmmm, perhaps you better enjoy your free speech
and use of the internet……while you still can. Maybe you should come to the U.S.

As in the past, I would look for the CIA and the local enemies of Chavez for answers. My view!
