I was in Caracas once.....it was the first time I ever experienced a culture completely different than my own....it was incredible....I was on a cruise....I'll never forget the people living in the hills as we drove into town, the statues all over town (seems like a lot of them were beautiful women on horses with incredible figures!)...I remember a military palace or something that was so beautiful with a lot of wealth, contrasted with the poverty of those people in the hills.....oh, and the sheer number of people, pressing in all around me as we walked the streets....it was beautiful/ugly/romantic/scary/fascinating....and we had the most scrumptious meal.....that was funny because we all thought the appetizers were the main courses and filled up, then out came these platters!
