It is weird...no matter how small the splinter is you can feel it
but a pebble is a different story
i once scraped my elbow on gravel and a pebble healed up in the wound and I never felt it...but I always had a funny bump in that spot, one day my brother was swinging around a vacuum cleaner cord and it struck me in the elbow, and the pebble fell out!

whackydotter & Bo.
Yup, me and splinters have been close friends especially over the past few months luv. It's good you dug it out and didn't let it sit there and fester. Blah.

Splinters are a bitch and yes, even the tiniest splinter can feel like a boulder in our shoe. I love how you write about day to day things. Your blog is a place for me to escape and remember some of the simpler things in life.

Phew, what a relief!
I thought you were going to say that the splinter wound got all infected from the spray and blew up into an enormous boil!

Your Whackiness...
Just the other day I picked up a metal splinter and it was really aggravating. It was inside the wrinkes in the inside of one of my knuckles and since my hands were dirty, I couldn't find it for a long time. I finally had to dig it out with my Leatherman.

I have, and there seems to be an inverse correlation between their size and the intensity of the pain they cause...

Be very careful with splinters.
They can travel all the way inside.
