Thanks Eyes and Troosha - I appreciate it!
I will be gone from here but I won't be too far away! Hopefully we can all keep in touch!

I didn't realize you were/are one of the
Blogiteers who feel the site has lost its luster. I didn't realize you had reached a place of discontentment. How unfortunate that we will be losing a clever, witty, engaging Sonnet spinner.

This was a pleasant read as usual, even though it was also a farewell, you wrote it well all the same. I liked the way it was set out and can envisage it being sung in that style. Be sure to let me know if you ever do anything with it, be a shame not to. Take Care.
Bless
Regards

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.
I'm not quite gone yet - as I said in the blues sonnet, I may be here for a few more days. It is a sonnet by the way - it's fourteen lines long, has ten syllables per line as usual and even has a rhyming couplet (which I don't normally do.) I've just done it in such a way that it can be sung as a blues number. Cheers!

I like in particular the coloquial style, the repetition that give rythm, something in the middle between a sonnet and a ballad. Harpo1947

a touching sonnet. It breaks my heart to hear such talent leaving. Guess we have to move on. Maybe we shall meet again in another time ,in another place.

Hi Tony
An excellent 'Goodbye' sonnet. I'll miss you, miss Dave, miss KaHae, and many others so much. Your poems always gave me so much pleasure that I will miss you all with a stab-like pain in my heart. But one has to decide one day, and all that we can wish is Good Luck in all your future ventures. Do keep in touch. These are sad days at Blogit, and every good has to, of necessity, come to an end, one day or another.

That is a wonderful way to say goodbye, if you have to say it.

I could almost hear the instruments behind the lyrics.
I could almost hear the blues, the wail. Excellent work! The graphics are great, too, especially the panel with Miles. Miles was born about ten miles from here. Flew high for a guy from just outside Quiettown.
I hope, Tonionioni -- this is just a song just a thought and not a firm decision. As someone said once Johnnie, we hardly knew ye... Still, you need to be true to you. Oh, this is distressing.

sonnet number 430
A neat lyric in modern style, but sorry, a sonnet it is not. I enjoyed it though.

Although you are a sonnet guy and I am a prose girl..
and we never really met in spite of a shared taste in friends, it has been good to see you here. Yes, some cool has been lost but we each make our way as we see
write.
