A deer (unintentionally, of course), killed my brother's best friend (a great cop/great guy), who was riding home on his motorcycle, at dusk.

I absolutely hate driving over anything but asphalt! Seriously though, driving at night in the country can be dangerous, especially if it's deer and moose country, and I usually slow down a bit...
