Whacky & Bo
I am feeling very dry now, guys, and I think I may indulge in my first few beers in a fortnight - what an excuse, eh?   Thank you for the smiles and roses.  Woof, Woof.

majroj
You are a man of many talents, majroj, and I bow to your superior Japanese/Amerrrricun language skills.   You wouldn't by any chance be sending a Scots/Canadian's burr up with your Amerrrrrricun?

McNab, "Skosh" is Amerrricun for "Skoshi";
In  Nihongo (Japanese), it means "a little bit".

A fascinating story, majroj, reminiscent of an old Bloodhound we had - but you got me again.......what is a 'skosh?'

We had an old cat dying of diabetes
He pissed the bed so often and voluminously that when one of us woke enough to figure it out, we both got up and remade the bed like housekeeping zombies, spraying Lysol deeply into the mattress stain. ot so we could do our Calif king sized bed in about four minutes, minus a skosh.

ginnieb

I'll soon be back to normal, ginnieb, whatever that means in my world.  Did I put you off your cornflakes, ginnie?   And here was I congratulating myself for not describing the consistency of my coughing up.   Ah well, back to the drawing board.  Isn't phlegm a strange word - now what would go with it?

I'm glad you like my writing, ginnie.

Pat_B
I'll accept the 5 stars, Pat and hand them over to Ell along with the Order of Canada.  You do write such poetic prose.   I like it.

Thanks for such a story while eating my cereal, Mac!!
And drinking my jaundice-coloured pear juice!    What descriptives!!  I DO love your writing!!  And I'm so glad you didn't wet yerself...the pear juice may have come back up!  Haha!!  Sorry to hear you are still not back to feeling your best yet!  And..I love a good dream!

Ewww... you get five stars for graphic detail.
and a surreal waking dream. Ell deserves a medal.  At least now you know why they say "don't sweat it."  Sweating spiders in the night leads to waking in a fright.
