I feel very blessed.........I have no prescription drugs and only have had to fill the initial script...seldom using the refill.

When you look at what they cost before the time a generic is allowed you know the drug companies are making such a killing. If we can get them some place for $4 and they cost $40, $80 or whatever some other place, we are being screwed to the fence post. You can bet Wal-Mart is not paying anything out of their pocket. We are!

I spread my scripts out over the month
If I got them all at once I'd have heart failure from the cost.
I've also learned to move to 90 day scripts for maintenance drugs. If I do that, I only pay two co-pays for three months and I don't have to pay the added percentage that I get nailed with for the more expensive drugs.
I'm not looking forward to that aspect of retirement.

I hear your "ouch". My monthly med bill is about $250 but fortunately, since I married "B", 80% of them are paid for under his work medical plan. Prior to that it was a
major monthly expense.....

Offy, we have drug coverage through work and if a certain med is
covered, the scrip usually runs around $5.99. When we run into a med that ISN'T covered, that can easily be in the hundreds..

Sis, all I can say is........................
Thank God my hubby retired from the military! If not, they would run some $4,000. a month. They have been as much as $10,000. We've never had ot pay much of a co pay, but if circumstances were not as they are, my life would've probably ended.
How's your day going, other than that? I don't have T&A's phone number. Just in case I'd want to call you.
