I expect that empty malls will be more and more prevalent after our presidential election is over. Predictions of recession become self-fulfilling prophesies and manipulation of financial figures to hide the truth from voters, all become public knowlege after it is too late to change your mind about who to vote for. I have seen every election since the 1950's and this no longer surprises me. What DOES surprise me is that nobody else seems to expect this to happen. Can't they SEE the pattern repeating itself? Is our collective attention span and memory less than four years? Frustrating!

Hi Offy so much to learn about North America and all of it interesting
such as the black Friday. But yes like you I can't get my head around a mid week holiday. Shrunken resources....know about them too. Luv to you from us.

I forgot it was Black friday...
..but got a great deal on a new computer desk..50% off! I like that kind of sale! Glad I went out!

I was gonna go shopping, but I just came home from a long workout and now I don't feel like it any more. So it'll be put off until next week or even later - there's still four weeks till Christmas, an eternity, lol. But I fully intend to be done by Christmas eve...

most my shopping is done as its just my 3 kids I shop for, so I usually give them 1 big item and then something personal for them. The one that is married I give them a present for the two of them and then something personal for just them
