Whacky,
I know. I hear ya. I still buy those damn spiral bulbs that are much more expensive cause I think I'm doing something for the environment. Sheesh. Whether I am or not, I'm still changing the things all the time. BUT, I don't think I change them as often as the regular ones. Hey, what's up with the packaging of lightbulbs anyway? Cardboard? Are you kidding me? Cardboard for a lightbulb but the thinnest plastic bag for a loaf of BREAD? Is it just me or....

At least you tried. The fluorescent lights in my plant light have to be installed with a particular feel, or they won't light. In the recreation room of my old house, my father installed indirect lighting. His system used fluorescent tubes under a paneled hood that ran around the walls. I hope that you'll find long range lighting that's energy efficient soon.

Go for it, Whacky. I use flourescents all the time. The house I moved
into a year ago had flourescents in a couple of the rooms. Don't you know that within a couple months of moving in, every one of those flourescent bulbs burned out and had to be replaced...

I try being "green". Haven't used the swirly light bulbs but I'm a recycle freak and Mr. Troosha has trained me into turning lights off behind me (I was notorious for leaving a zillion lights on - Ok, maybe 5 or 6). And oh yeah... I even use those bio-degradable garbage bags. Green is not easy nor cheap.

I would definitely let Bo do the dishes! Think of the savings! We let Bubbles do ours, and she does them lickety-spit...

and give the
plongeur and encouraging pat...

Hey, Whacky, don't forget that money is GREEN!
Let Bo go at those dishes. That way you will also save water, won't have to pre-wash them.
{{{{{{hugs for Bo}}}}} and

for you, sweetie!
