That has happened twice in this town--in the 30 years I have lived here!
The great thing about such a snowfall is then I can't see the yard work that never got done...

Hey, you!
I think you had better put that shovel down - you just had a heart attack, remember? I hate to rain on your parade, Sis, but that's not a good thing for you to be doing.
The snow is pretty, isn't it? Don had to go to the foot doctor this morning and he said he slid all over the road. Our kids had to go to school too. Dumb! They were off earlier in the week when we had very little.
Sally, please be careful with shovelling snow - it is dangerous!

Sally, as an ex-snow person, I understand the beauty of fresh fallen snow
I also remember losing my keys in the snow and walking three miles back to the house to get an extra set of keys. But every ying has it's yang. I remember hot cider, spiced wine and hot chocolate and a damned good fireplace made all my troubles seem trivial. Stay warm, Sally.

Sally
Although most consider it an inconvenience, I enjoy being "snowed in". It keeps you real - doing real things like making due with whatever is in the cupboards, being together, talking, laughing, peering out the window to check the level of snow, or watching the kids play in the magic of it all.
