In this country teenagers seem to be able to talk only among themselves in some incomprehensible 'language'. When they talk to real people, they merely grunt and mumble monosyllabically. They regress! They could speak better when they were five!

Grown children can be difficult work. Mine are adults and I have no idea
what to say any more. They want me to be old I think, unless they need something from me like helping with the kids or financial help. I don't know, I m in Canada and not thinking of their dissaproval
