When you can and do write to your own satisfaction, something of the beauty in your words will be lost.  There is something good to be said about the striving for perfection.

Struggles are so tiring. It will always be there, an ash flake on a beautiful flower blossom. Know it is total in spirit and spirals in beauty somewhere. Or is it the opposite? The loss of something is heavy to you and I love the way you did the poem but the light is dimmed for me except pain in it. God bless you.

Bubbles of hope and despair

I just told Afzal today, that much poetry leaves me feeling confused. Yours resonates with imagery that is practically photographic for me. Thank you for your graphic words. I recommended the poetry of Robert Service to Afzal in an email, today because Service also painted word pictures with humor and tragedy, equally well. I am sure you are familiar with his work, but revisiting a master like service can inspire us all to create, even when like me, we don't write poetry. My grandfather would quote his poems from memory, while still thirsty but empty in the pockets at his neighborhood watering establishment, I have been told. He sort of hammed it up with quavering voice and emphasis on the more macabre passages when I listened raptly to his resitations as a child, but these are my favorite memories of him, to this day. "The cremation of Sam McGhee" and "The face on the barroom floor" and "The silver fox" were special when he waxed eloquent. I told Afzal that if I am buried and not cremated, I would like a verse from Service's "Just think!" for my epitaph.

Keep writing, you may rival the greats, you are inspired to greatness at least sometimes, from what samples of your work I have read.  Guy

Just do not worry too much. Just write what you feel. The great poet Walt Whitman:Leaves Of Grass- was not worried when they thought he was spewing nonsense. Now he is revered. Happy Holidays.

a poem strewn with gems of analogy...
longing can be powerful and attractive, but I do well when I remember that sometimes it is very wise to let go...............

kayzz, very touching and sad...your first paragraph seems to indicate
physical illness and limitations, possibly?  Are you okay?

Talk to us with out fear, here we are so free and open, never fear we will
judge you......atleast no one knows your face...so talk about your happiness, sadness, your fears, your despair, your hope, your plan, your view, your analysis and sure you will make it a good thing for you... I started writing here from 2002 from the begining, I know it helped me to be me.....Sure you can too.......
