a knight after my own heart,
when i first got the computer i went on kazaa , i had over 10000 songs, lost to a virus, then i started all over and got to 4 thousand and same thing. now i buy a few cd, now and then and i have started a pretty good collection. i can burn cd, so i am thinking of just burning copies of my family and friends cd's, now i dont get viruses, but i dont download from kazaa or limewire anymore.

I lived in a room with Yes artwork on the walls
Imagine being surrounded by dark blue walls, with pieces of planet floating in the space, S- curved roads and such -- all around you.

Yes, Tattered, much has been lost to the compressed digital format.
Sadly, they could still do great album art, just shrink it a bit. But it seems to have lost its place in the computer age...
Happy New Year, my friend...

A cassette archiver! Too bad Christmas is over, so I'll just have to get it myself. I have millions (well, thousands...hundreds?) of cassettes that are gathering dust - what a great idea! And I agree - discs aren't as much fun as the old LPs...

Vinyl
is making a come back so hang onto those albums and soon, I suspect, you'll even see a new generation of turntables as well....

Aw man! I really miss album cover art
and well-written liner notes! We'll have to run a poll -- what was the best album cover design of all time, or something like that.

Actually Mr. Tattered, many artists still refer to their new or latest
'album' when sold as CD. I hope the label always prevails. I still have a collection of 33rpm's, some of the Beattles best, Crosby, Stills, etc. I haven't opened the box they're stored in for years. The cassette archive system sounds great, ingenious gift from Santa!

you're right. There's a difference between an album and a CD...especially the posters.
