In my family we had scare genes I think. We all liked to play pranks on each other at any opportunity, especially my Mom's side of the family. I got in a few whacks myself. It was very satisfying to generate a loud screech in the selected victim.

I get tired of the throngs that come begging, Shelly,
although the little kids do crack me up.

Halloween is my least favorite holiday..
I think it has to do with not really getting into it as a kid. We didn't have many kids in the neighborhood so there was never beggars night. I only participated in the school parties.
Happy New Year to ya!

strat...too funny. Your uncle got the best of his older brother with that shovel...hahahahaha..Oh and could there be another hoax like Wells? I kind of doubt it with communication being the way it is today but thanks for telling us first hand what your Mother experienced. Happy New Year to you too!

Strat, Thanks for making me feel alot better than I was 5 minutes ago. As
my good Army buddy said to me once in one of his many visits to the local Emergency room "Will, if you mean to scare somebody with a rubber mask, make sure it isn't a redneck bar. Them boys carry guns." lol Same way as scaring kids carrying shovels

IR Will Happy New Year, Strat.
