Re: Walking

My husband and I are both trying to exercise more. While I use the comfort and security of a local

health club club, my husband has taken to doing 20 floors of stairs twice a day at his job. I think this is a tremendous effort and not within my limits. But he works for the Renaissance Hotels in downtown St. Louis and they are challenging their employees to lose weight. They are looking for the biggest loser in their midst and offering a Plasma TV to the winner. I, myself, couldn't budge him off the couch with his remote but his piers at work have got him eating salad and walking 20 flights of stairs. He is smiling more and less stressed, and his clothes fit better. It has only been two weeks and he lost 21 pounds. We spend so much time at work, it is a great thing that our employers encourage us to take a break during our work day. Good for insurance. Good for moral. Good for releasing stress and anxiety. Everyone is getting along better. Pass this idea along. Winged - Joyce.
