What I find weird is two people can be in the same room texting each other...some of it drives me insane, but wouldn't want to live without the net!!!! A

I like the fact that thanks to modern technology,
every dirty joke ever told, ever since I was in the third grade, can go round the world in less than a second with the click of a mouse. Whodathunkit?

I think they did other things beside conversation in the days before the net, Whacky. I remember some families with 12 or more children.

I remember feeling like
I was a late bloomer in technology, everyone had a PC and a cell phone long before I did, I was quite proud of doing without, then.....I joined the masses, sigh, well scratch Bo behind the ear for me!!

Well, for half a day or so, but then I get withdrawal symptoms. But people still do fun things, I think. There may not be much barn-raising, but there is still a lot of Hell-raising going on!

And give a backrub to =^..^= for me...

Although the Net has become an invaluable tool - for research, banking, shopping, and even making new friends or meeting a husband, it has unfortunately turned our society into a bunch of people who are more comfortable in a state of disconnect. Swinging on the porch swing, shooting the breeze as become a thing of the past for many people. And what a darn shame that is!

A big part of my parents social life had to do with the little Baptist Church. Socials, Potlucks, church picnics, music events, holiday events, etc. kept us busy and looking forward to the next fun time.

Not very long Wacky love. I do enjoy having friends around the world
I remember well before the TV. We had radio, we talked undertook porjects like knitting and needlework, played the piano and socialised at dances, movies, balls and youth clubs. In the summer there were beach parties. A slower life yes but a happy one.

That's all true, Whacky, and a bit sad.................
Although I don't know what I'd do without my computer, I sometimes wonder what I did before I had it.
