I respect your answer tremendously and I can see your view point much clearer. I hope I wasn't being insensitive with my answer. You mean a great deal to me and I would not offend ever. Than you, my friend! sam

Re:
Dear sam I feel you and I love your work
but when you start your poems with mules and plows it instantly reminds
black people of slavery. And before you comment on a race ! you should
know that race, and respect that race, Are it's just sounds like ignorance and ignorance sounds like
racism! even if your scared to say it , and you hide behind lines.

My friend, you are a wonderful and compassionate person. I read what Spinner wrote and Spinner is a storyteller. I felt he was representing the gentlemen as best he could. From the bottom of my heart I do not feel he meant any disrespect. When I was young I was being a numbskull in the upper deck at Wrigley field and a black gentleman took my group [white punky kids, we were not disrespectful to him, he didn't like the way we were carrying ourselves] and he literally spanked us with his wisdom. We were in awe and shut up the rest of the game and had a wonderful time. I never thought about being spanked by a black/African-American as it was about a great man that I knew I would never come close to in wisdom. This is most significant because it was after the riots of '68. We need to have compassion and understanding of our work together as a community. If I had not shut my mouth that day i would have missed the greatest lesson of my life. I would never mean any disrespect as I fell Spinner did not. I love your Blog and I don't want you to be hurt. sam

Writing poetry, letters, journals helps us to see what is in our own hearts and minds and make decisions and committments. God already knows what is there. He just patiently waits for us to face ourselves.

Lestate, when one humbles oneself enough to fall on one's knees..
and ask for guidance, it is usually a positive turning point in one's life..I've had that happen to me a few times - Ash
