I use to remember
about three or four numbers that I dialed often, but not any more, yeah speed dial can do that, although I have hubby's office number in my head, came in handy when I was locked out and he had the key......I must never forget at least that number!!

Whacky and Bo
So its you who phones during dinner and then doesn't answer when I pick up.  I can't even remember the names of the people I want to phone, let alone their phone numbers.

Funny you should ask that I always say I can't remember numbers and yet I
remembered Wiley's straight off including the long distance codes. Just shows what we can do if we want to.

Whacky
I remember some. On my cell phone, I just click on the person's name, and the call goes out. But what really bugs me is this: the other day I found a combination lock I hadn't used in a while (I use them for my locker at the gym, for example), and I couldn't remember the numbers...so now it's useless..., and a pat for =^..^=

whackydotter & Bo.
I never remember numbers much and I can't use the speed dial because all the numbers I call are long distance and I have a separate server for that. Good post luv. Blah

I used to work for AT&T...
as a long distance operator and I learned to memorize the tones each number made and the patterns on the touch pad of numbers. It was not so much that I wanted to remember the numbers... my brain was just bored. Now I can remember random numbers easily. Its a curse

very interesting post
i heard a short while ago that there was some study finding that most americans only know 5-6 phone #s off the top of their head and some dont even know their own # jus because of using the speed dial on cell phones and what not and its prolly a good idea to write those #s down on paper jus in case something happens...maybe ill do that now lol

I've become the speed dial king --
to the point where if someone asked me for my own number, I probably wouldn't remember it off the top of my head.

Wacky
I'm a walking phone book - even though several numbers are saved in speed dial, I still punch in the number.  And if I can't remember one, I get out those darn cheater glasses and haul out the trusty phone book.
