It seems like I have a little bit of it all--stacks of cassettes, CD's on a holder, DVD's standing on end in the bookshelf, still some LP's I just can't trash, and anything and everything on the internet as I spend time on my PC. And then there are times I like the silence except for my own "singing".

Just use crummy speakers and lots of treble.
We have a great used music store(apso online) called "Dimples Records". like old fashioned head shops only bigger.
Me, I hated discwashers and other records paraphernalia. Gimme digital. i have Robert Johnson on digitally remastered cassette, still sounds like a victrola.
