Hmmm, greenbeanie. I don't know. Could be. I come from a couple
families who think that a nickname is "big" and "little" applied to your first name. Lots of people in my family with the same names. Big Bob, Little Bob. Big Dolly, Little Dolly.

Great fun! When it comes to women, we must not forget the Bunnies, who might be found in a...ahem,
petting zoo! That's were you might also find minks, and even minxes...but you wouldn't wany to mess with a vixen...

In my family...
When I was little, we were the "bunny" family on my mom's side. Now, my mom's nickname is "monk," my other mom is "bun," and my brother and I are usually "monkey tail." Maybe we are evolving?

Sounds about right, TAPS. I don't know very many couples who stay
together long when the female in the duo has an animal apellation. Has to do with esteem. Women with animal names like kitty, lynx, moose, Cat, generally suffer from poor self esteem. A lot of them are strippers (not Moose, of course). With men it's about a toss-up. Most of these guys watch strippers on a continuing basis...

There were quite a few I just left out, Troosha (and probably a whole lot
more that I forgot -- because they're just too painful for me

). I didn't want to write a 1000-word essay, either...

I used to have a BIL that called my sis "Moose". She referred to him as "The Beast". Needless to say they weren't married for long.
