Whacky...
We had a turtle once, but he was shy, never came out of his shell.

whackydotter & Bo.

Did I ever tell you I think of you as one amazing writer? Well, there, I do. You can write about anything at all and make it so darn entertaining and informative I get right into it.

You'll have to come visit here sometime luv. See, we have HUGE turtles up here in Renfrew county, they dig huge holes in the soft shoulders of the roads to lay their eggs in. I'll try and remember to take a picture for ya next time I see one in the spring or summer luv. Blah

Whacky,
I love turtles! At work, we don't see reptiles, but I always wanted to learn about them and treat them. I had a family of frogs that lived behind my tempature thingies on my pool deck and they came back every year. I also had a turtle that took up a "home" in my pool during the winter (and yes, I had let the pool go a bit...it was pretty green ) but I did feed him. I asked one of my friends who is a vet that treated reptiles and sent him a pic of him. He told me he was a snapping turtle and told me I was nuts for hand feeding him. But he never bit my finger! Anyway, you got me thinking...wouldn't it be a cool idea to advertise a business on wild turtles with nail polish? Hmmm....

Turtles are neat. Once I found a painted turtle in the middle of the road somehwere in the country, as I was riding my bicycle. Nobody had actually painted it with nail polish, they come painted. Anyway, I didn't think the middle of the road was a good place for a turtle, so I picked it up and took it home with me. I set it out in the backyard, and it hung around for a while. Then it waddled off, and it's still waddling somewhere, I guess..., and a pat for =^..^=
