Thanks for both comments, FineYoungSinger
I'm pleased you enjoyed the first part on its own merits and came back and found the commentary to also be comment-worthy. I look at it as a double reward. Thank you, thank you.

Thanks, Sira
I'm happy you liked my little time trip. And you're close about the 8-tracks and beta machines. 8-tracks were pushed aside by the superior cassette tapes, and died out for all practical purposes in the early eighties. Beta lost out to VHS shortly thereafter and was pretty much gone around the mid-eighties. Cassette audio tapes remained alive and healthy well into the nineties before the convenience and superiority of CDs began to push them into a downward spiral. Audio cassettes are still moderately popular as an inexpensive record-your-medium. But the days of cassette tape are numbered.

Thanks, sam
I'm pleased you liked it. It's always gratifying when one of my favorite memories draws a warm response.

Thanks for the roses, mariaki
I'm extremely pleased that you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane. It's part of my philosophy of trying to remember as many of the good times as possible.

What a great memory, even though it is a bitter-sweet one
Cassette tape? Didn't those go out with Beta machines and A-tracks??
