I know, right, Wild Bill?
I can't count how many times I should have been deported, incarcerated or fitted for a satin-lined sleeping bag.

Strat - that's too funny. Nothing like drinking mass quanitities and
driving over someone with a pickup truck, trying not to kill them. Youth...its a wonder we ever made out alive.

Thank you, Offy!
Hope you're feeling better! My chicken soup recipe is in the kitchen.
As to the dancing, I'm sure you're great. I on the other hand... well, see my comment to Wiley John...

THank you very much, Guy!
McManus and Jean Sheperd are two of my greatest heroes, them and Lewis Grizzard. And I do, in fact, own every one of McManus's books. In fact, one of the best Christmas gifts I ever received was an autographed copy of "Real Ponies Don't Go Oink!"

Actually, all these people still around here simply means most of us were not brave enough to move away from home.

Aw, Wiley, that's how we all dance.
Whenever I hit the dance floor, there are usually four or five people ready to shove a broomstick in my mouth because they think I'm having some kind of fit.

Ah, yes; I've awakened in my car more than I care to admit, missing all manner of items of clothing...

Strat, your postings are inspired literature!
You and Patrick McManus are my heroes! If you haven't discovered McManus, do yourself a favor and read some of his work. You will want to own ALL of his books.

What fun to have all these friends you grew up around, still around......I moved away and lost touch at such an early age I don't have that experience and have to vicariously enjoy it through your stories.....which I always enjoy so very much. Besides a couple of cousins, the oldest relationship I have is from when I was in my late 20's and that's only one person....and I only connect with her via occasional emails, haven't seen her in many, many years. You are blessed....and a blessing

My son's a muso and he passed out by his car one evening. Woke up to find
his expensive sneakers gone. Didn't get a lot of sympathy from Mu either! Love reading your post mate.
