Your commentary is so carefully crafted. The questions you raise are very thoughtful ones. Yes, that ending is temporary. I struggled to find the one I really want. That last line or two will be changed change once I can conjure up the words to express what I really want to say there. Thanks for your insight.

Loved it, the structure, the flow, the imagery...but the purpose for being can not expire, there is always purpose, how do you know your purpose is not just to make someone smile, or cry for that matter, does purpose always have to be so profoundly unattainable? and as for the end of the journey, I can't believe it, not with the beautiful way in which you write, you must have so much more in you, and I for one can not wait to read it :-)

I was taken with the imagery. It was incredibly leading and that was perfect. The poem has a finality to it but is like a transition for me. Congratulations on a fine poem. sam
